Before India Travels there were two practice efforts which I will rewrite one day. The first, 'A Collection of Stories' was inspired by my visiting a detox centre in Koh Samui. There I made extensive notes about my trip before writing a short story upon my return. Nineteen chapters later and I had a book complete with pictures detailing my experiences.
This section contains some of the chapters from my first book, an autobiographical piece about events that occurred over the last 25 years. Click on the links below to read some of the stories.
Laser eye surgery - A risky operation, writing this book would have been a lot more challenging if it went wrong.
Parachuting - I don't like heights but one day the works tearoom got the better of me.
Snowdon - The biggest part of this challenge was getting there, severe travel disruption meant a late change of plans.
Greg & Helen wedding - I travelled half way round the world to New Zealand to attend this wedding.
Albufeira bullring - Not on my list of things to do, but when the opportunity arises you have to take the bull by the horns.
Cresta Run - St Moritz and the famous toboggan run.
Beer festival - Three intrepid explorers off to Munich to sample the local delights.
Working abroad - East Germany is extremely cold in the winter.
Cookery lesson - I love to cook so I decided to take a trip to Borough Market for a day with an Italian Countess.
Marek & Vi wedding - My second wedding in a foreign country with my friends from Poland.
Hot air balloon - Floating above beautiful South London.
Playing golf in Thailand - Twelve rounds of golf in fifteen days was hard work.

I next wrote a book for Marek and Viola titled 'Alexanders' Big Adventure'. Alexander is their five year old son, so I wrote the story accordingly. It is based on a trip to London in search of a magic key. I have included their friends and family throughout and made it as fun as possible. The right hand pages contains a drawing / picture of a 'special guest'. I supplied an artist with some pictures who then drew on the face and added a funny costume around it. The rest of the artwork were London sites photographed by myself. Click on the link below to read the book.
